COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will go into the specifics of the RoHS/CE Marking regulations, provide case studies and share lessons learned so your organization can benefit from the mistakes of others. This course will give you a complete overview of the ROHS/CE marking process, linked to REACH correlation which is ideal if you have little or no experience of the subject.
ROHS/CE Marking have been referred to as “…one of the most complex regulations in the history of the EU. You will gain a basic understanding of the ROHS/CE marking directives and learn how to identify and apply them. It will demonstrate the responsibilities you have toward ROHS/CE marking your products and any relevant testing. In addition, you will receive an introduction into creating a technical file and declaration
TOPIC BACKGROUND
RoHS conformity have banned problematic toxic and environmentally hazardous elements such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE), and phthalates substances in quantities not exceeding a maximum of 0.1 percent by mass in products. Companies shipping parts or products into Europe must comply with ROHS/CE Marking Directives.
